Analyzing your houshold utility usage - the Green Button program
The "Green Button" initiative is a program to allow customers to download or connect to your utility-usage data (electricity, gas, water)
to gain better insight of waste and inefficiencies; allowing you to make adjustments to use fewer resources
and save money.
The province of Ontario has launched an
initiative
requiring all gas and electrical utilties to adopt the Green Button
standards by November 1, 2023.
Core Insightz Personal Analytics can understand the
green button data format, allowing you to gain insights on your energy usage. You can download the green button data
from your utility company website, then upload the data into Core Insightz. Alternatively, you can authorize
Core insightz to get the green button data directly from the utility company.
